This February couples can stick on to their sustainable beliefs with the opportunity to adopt and release their own clownfish in the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort.

The resort is focused on proactively contributing to the marine enviornmnet rather than following the traditional culture of flowers and chocolates.

Couples can visit the resort’s Marine Discovery Centre which has a unique environmental facility dedicated to the conservation of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi National Park, the vast tropical reserve that surrounds the Phi Phi Islands.  Kasama “Bom” Nualsri , resort’s resident marine biologist will lead the project. The eco hub is known to operate many important projects like the coral preservation, breeding and release programmes.

Couples can adopt their own “Nemo” as  a symbol of their everlasting love and will receive a certificate of appreciation and will be named on the donor recognition wall in the Marine Discovery Centre.

Around ten clownfish babies per month is being bred by the Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and the team is aiming to increase the number in 2019 to contribute to a healthier and more vibrant marine ecosystem.

The adoption initiatives proceeds will enable Khun Bom and his assistants to ramp up their vital work.
