On the 1st of June, the Parisian authorities have launched a green terrace on the first floor of the French symbol, which will be open until September, according to a release issued by the company that manages the monument and quoted by EFE.
Visitors will enjoy the new space embellished of vegetation, fully equipped with street furniture that have been made in France from recycled or recyclable materials, such as recycled wooden pallets, plastic, sails, etc and fountains for those who want to spend some time of relaxation, away from the noise of the French capital.
The new green space, a place with panoramic views, also has a bar opened from 9:00 to 23:30 local time.
The terrace can be accessed via elevator – 11 euros for adults and 8.5 for young people aged between 12 and 24 years old – or via the stairs at 7 and 5 euros, while handicapped and children under 11 years will have discounted rates.
Symbol of France, the Eiffel Tower is visited by about 7 million people annually (of which 75% are foreigners), making it the most visited monument in the world.
