U.S. News & World Report, a nationally recognized publisher of consumer advice and information, recognized 83 Marriott International hotels as hospitality leaders in its annual Best Hotels evaluation of hotels that offer high-quality amenities and exceptional experiences. Marriott International’s celebrated brands within its Luxury + Lifestyle portfolio in this year’s report include Autograph Collection Hotels, EDITION Hotels, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, alongside Marriott Hotels.
“We are honored to have so many esteemed Marriott International hotels featured in this year’s U.S. News & World Report,” said Tina Edmundson, global officer, Luxury and Lifestyle Brands. “Now is a very exciting time for Marriott International’s collection of 19 brands as we expand and improve each portfolio, deepen our expertise and break into new territory, particularly with our luxury and lifestyle hotel brands. Our continued aim with our brands is to create new, authentic and culturally relevant experiences that inspire and engage audiences around the world, and to lead the way in creativity and innovation for next-generation travel.”
The impressive accolades were announced on the heels of the Luxury + Lifestyle portfolio’s latest opening – JW Marriott Los Cabos Resort & Spa, a new 299-room property located within the dunes of the pristine coast of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. The Best Hotels methodology combines a hotel’s industry accolades with expert and guest reviews as well as hotel class ratings. U.S. News scored luxury hotels, identifying the top ten percent in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean with Gold badges and the top 30 percent within specific markets with Silver badges. The rankings feature more 2,500 hotels across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
“Travelers don’t have to waste time searching for a great hotel,” said Erin Shields, travel editor for U.S. News & World Report. “The 2016 Best Hotels are adored by industry experts and travelers alike for their great amenities, comfortable rooms and exemplary service.”
