Emergency drill on travel safety held in China

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism a two-day training and emergency exercise on travel safety concluded Friday in the city of Shangrao, east China’s Jiangxi Province.

 

To deal with emergencies and maintaining a safe and stable tourism market the ministry aimed at increasing the ability of culture and tourism authorities and travel agencies across the country.

 

Tourism safety, security management in popular scenic areas, as well as safety of Chinese tourists overseas were the key highlights.

 

 

There were scenic cableway rescue and emergency evacuation in scenic spots held during the exercise.

 

According to the participants joint supervision by multiple departments should be strengthened and that the roads and firefighting facilities should be a major part of security.

 

The event was attended by official and representatives of major travel agencies.
