Lately, a business partnership has been signed between Emirates and flydubai that will allow these Dubai-based airlines to offer unmatched travel options to the customers. Both of them will be managed independently. However, they’ll control the network of each other to heighten up their functions and speed up the growth process.
This partnership goes further code-sharing. It comprises collaboration of integrated network along with coordinated scheduling. All the customers of flydubai will hereon receive seamless connectivity to all the destinations in Emirates worldwide spreading across six continents. On the other hand, Emirates’ customers get to utilize the robust regional network of flydubai to a tee.
The two airlines will develop Dubai International airport as their hub, bring into line their systems and operations to provide flawless travel experience through the state-of-the-art airport, at present, being world’s busiest international airports.
To quote HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai, “this is an exciting and significant development for Emirates, flydubai, and Dubai aviation. Both airlines have grown independently and successfully over the years, and this new partnership will unlock the immense value that the complementary models of both companies can bring to consumers, each airline, and to Dubai.”
Currently, Emirates has almost 259wide-body fleet aircrafts, flying across 157 destinations including 16 cargo-only points in the whole. Flydubai functions 58 new-generation Boeing 737 aircraft to over 95 destinations. In the current context, combined network consists of 216 unique destination points altogether.
