A flight of GoAir that was travelling from Mumbai with more than 180 passengers on board had to make an emergency landing in Delhi owing to a trouble in its engine.
However, nobody has been hurt in the incident.
The authorities of GoAir have said that the aircraft that was an Airbus A320 was able to make a perfectly safe emergency landing. GoAir said that the captain of the flight G8 329 from Mumbai to Delhi had sought permission to make the emergency landing from the Air Control Tower (ATC).
The airline said that a certain technical snag in the air bleed system in the aircraft had prompted the flight commander to minimize the power of the left engine.
Thereafter, he had asked for emergency assistance during landing.
The aircraft was carrying 183 passengers and the crew members had all landed safely around 8.06 a.m.
Airline sources said that the plane had made an emergency landing.
Following an initial inspection, the engine problem was rectified by replacing a component of the engine, according to GoAir. The aircraft would be cleared for the purpose of operations after the necessary ground checks, he said.
