Choudhoury’s original restaurant ‘Monsoon’ can be found at South Shields situated near Newcastle in England. After a businessman from central Africa, Mohammed Kabir has visited and tried special dishes at the curry restaurant, he has urged Choudhoury to send a takeaway to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The idea of opening a restaurant inside a plane came while Choudhoury was watching a helicopter to carry some of their dishes to DRC. He started to think whether it could be possible to open a curry house in a jetliner. The idea was also inspired by other unique dining experiences offered by restaurants such as the Passage to India Curry Train.
The restaurant owner, Choudhoury has remodelled an unused Boeing 737 to transform it into a dining experience for the foodies.
At the newly modified restaurant with wings, one can get to devour a two course meal including one starter, one main course, rice and a side dish. While enjoying a mouth-watering meal, one will also get to explore the cockpit of the Boeing 737 flight.
The owner Choudhoury has organised the ceremonial dining experience on 6th December. But the interested travellers will have to wait for future events as the tickets are sold out for this dining experience.
