Ethiopia is striving hard to earn a big name in tourism and for this the African country is keen to benefit from the experience of Seychelles in tourism. The Indian Ocean island nation has vast experience in the tourism sector.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn said Ethiopia was working to transform its tourism sector by sharing the experiences of successful countries such as Seychelles. He was speaking during discussions in Addis Ababa on ways of enhancing bilateral relations with President Danny Faure of Seychelles.
The two countries have agreed to boost bilateral trade and Hailemariam invited investors from Seychelles to exploit the attractive investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
President Faure said the discussions mainly focused on deepening the excellent relationship between the countries.
Seychelles is among countries at the forefront of tourism development in Africa and was ready to help Ethiopia develop its tourism industry and do everything that is possible on its part, the Premier said.
The expansion of hotels in particular was among areas in which Ethiopia wanted to learn from the rich experience of Seychelles, he added.
