According to Tewolde, the service to Istanbul would complement the daily services being provided by Ethiopian’s Star Alliance partner Turkish Airlines.
The flights to the Turkish city “will further catalyze the channeling of investors from both countries and make their businesses more facilitated as the country is among the fastest growing emerging economies”, he said in Addis Ababa Thursday.
“Our new flights will also enable our valued customers to make immediate connections to 52 African destinations with minimum hours in connecting time in Addis Ababa,” he added.
Ethiopian Airlines is a global Pan-African carrier serving over 92 international destinations across five continents.
