Etihad Airways and Tourism Australia has signed an agreement to be the Official Airline Partner of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards next year. For that purpose, the airline will fly the world’s best chefs and food media to Australia for this celebration of global gastronomy.
This event will be hosted in Melbourne between 1-7 April and display Australia’s food and wine culture to international audience of industry professionals and food connoisseurs along with leading chefs, restaurateurs, sommeliers, media and influencers.
The airline CEO Peter Baumgartner said that they are delighted to partner with Tourism Australia for such an interesting culinary initiative. He said that Australia is a renowned destination for food and wine offering diverse culinary experiences and this initiative will further increase its reputation as world’s most preferred holiday destinations.
It will also help them in showcasing their own food and hospitality services to the best names in global food and wine today. Tourism Australia Managing Director, John O’Sullivan, said Etihad Airways was a natural choice due to their great reputation and quality dining experiences offered to its passengers, both on air and ground, which is unique among the world’s airlines.
