Eurobound, specialists in providing customized European tour packages reports that their independent, luxury travelers to Europe prefer Italy as it’s the most-requested destination.
As per Jeff Roy, Eurobond’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing, annually sales to Italy have risen 25%, echoing the findings of the newest Virtuoso report mentioning Italy as the top global destination. As Italy remains on top, Eurobound is experiencing Spain, Portugal and Greece trending for the wealthy travelers.
Also, Eurobound reports that sales for this year show a steady growth, with a year-over-year rise of +10%, and deposits for 2020 up over 2018.
Multigenerational and Multi-destination Travel Strong
Client demand for multigenerational and multi-destination travel carries on being powerful for Eurobound, says Roy, who observes that small, bespoke companies are well-placed to manage the exhaustive hands-on planning for individual
itineraries. “Coordinating complex itineraries can prove challenging and time-consuming for travel advisors. That’s why we’re here,” he notes.
As an instance, he shows that a recent 10-day itinerary to Italy and France for a multi-generational family of 15, comprising 8 adults and 7 children of 4 to 11 years old. The group flew into and out of Milano and traveled to Cannes. Two members of the group during the trip wanted to break off for two nights in Malaga, rejoining the group in Cannes.
“Our goal is to make the travel advisor the hero,” says Roy, adding further that Eurobound works solely through travel advisors. “We pride ourselves on attention to detail, and essentially do all the back-office planning for our travel advisors’ clients. All itineraries are white labeled, affording the travel advisor the opportunity to incorporate their own logo and brand identification on their materials. To that end we have found that agent loyalty pays dividends,” he adds.
