Europe joins into new partnership with China outbound travel market

etoaThe European Commission-funded Partnerships in European Tourism project would be arriving in Beijing at the China Outbound Travel & Tourism Award in April 2018 as part of the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year.


Jean-Claude Junker, the President of the European Commission and the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang had announced the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year.


And partnerships in European Tourism marks an initiative as part of this year that was aimed at supporting European travel businesses and also operators eager to expand their businesses into China.


This aim can be achieved via tutoring activities that facilitate fresh collaborations and partnerships through trans-European tourist products and the organization of B2B matchmaking and other promotional events alongside global fairs.


Currently it is in its 14th year.


COTTM is the longest running and most well reputed platform for the outbound tourism market.


It is the only business to business travel event focusing on the growing outbound tourism market. In 2017 COTTM had lured more than 4,300 Chinese trade buyers and over 450 exhibitors from 70 nations and is the only exhibition that is 100% business to business outbound.


COTTM was chosen as the first venue to conduct a China-based event in the 2018 program that is a B2B matchmaking between European businesses and Chinese operators would take place and also a therapeutic conference on EU-China cooperation on tourism with a highlight on the particular draw of gamily to travel to Europe.


The European delegation is working closely with the China Tourism Academy (CTA) to offer a conference program within the COTTIM program to demonstrate the best of Europe’s offer to the outbound Chinese market.


The President of China Tourism Academy Dai Bing said that COTTM is aiming to promote the outbound tourism industry of China as well as the partnerships between China and the overseas destinations ever since it had been launched.


Furthermore it also creates a bridge for the communication between China and the international tourism industry.


China Tourism Academy (CTA) is ready to support the cooperation between COTTM and the European Travel Commission (ETC) and European Tourism Association (ETOA).
