European Waterways, Europe’s leading hotel barge cruising company, announced that it will be participating in The New York Times Travel show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, from January 8 – 10, 2016. The company will be in booth number 510.
European Waterways’ U.S. representatives Mark Bradley and barge industry veteran Debbie Petermann will be at the booth throughout the event to provide information to travel agents, consumers and the media about the latest developments at the company. This includes the launch of the new luxury hotel barge, Finesse, which will start cruising on the River Saone and Canal du Centre in Southern Burgundy in May 2016. The double-decker Finesse can accommodate up to eight passengers and will feature a staff of five, including a personal gourmet chef. All-inclusive amenities include a spacious sun deck, spa pool and bicycles to explore the picturesque countryside.
On the booth, the company will have on-hand its 2016/17 brochures as well flyers offering an overview and tips on selling the “hotel barging experience.”
“Bookings are strong for 2016, with some routes nearly sold out already,” says Managing Director Derek Banks. “We are definitely seeing a growing market for the hotel barging experience. It is ideal for travelers, including groups, seeking a more relaxed, slower-paced cruise along the scenic canals and waterways of Europe.”
