As per Quoch Khanh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, increasing the localization rate in the footwear, automobile, garment-textile and electronic industries and entering the global production and supply chain are essential for Vietnam.
The ministry has also started implementing this program on support industry development from 2016 and 2015 to assist regional firms in applying management systems in sync with the chain requirements of the global production chain so that they emerge into good suppliers for domestic and international clients as per Khanh.
He also expressed his belief that the events would be creating interesting opportunities for regional support industry firms to approach new trends as well as engineering and technology achievements and interact with potential partners from Japan and other nations.
The three-day event lures in over 200 brands from as many as 30 countries and territories all across the world including Singapore, China, Republic of Korea and Thailand.
Through these exhibitions participants were able to portray their advanced technologies for electronic component manufacturers, seeking clients and strengthening links with local manufacturers.
The Head Representative of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Hanoi, Hironobu Kitagawa said that the enterprises are required to understand the important role of the support industry in the entire value chain.
