OTDYKH MoscowEuroexpo will be hosting the 24th edition of OTDYKH Travel Market from 11-13 September in Moscow in EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. OTDYKH Travel Market is Russia’s leading travel and tourism event. The annually occurring travel event in Moscow is the perfect start for the upcoming winter season on the Russian inbound and outbound market.

The new three days format, introduced last year, received a very positive feedback from all participants. The exhibition was very busy all three days. It was attended by a record-breaking number of qualified visitors and hosted 137 travel agencies from Russia´s large regions.

The 2017 edition welcomed over 860 exhibitors from 44 countries and 40 Russian regions, covering the total area of 15 000 sq.m. Traditionally strong participation was shown by Middle East, Asia and Latin America. European countries intensified their advertising campaign to win more Russian travellers.

The content rich programme featured over 180 speakers across 30 conferences, seminars, work-shops, round table meetings and case-study presentations. The programme 2018 is set, once again, to reflect the major industry trends and will combine all relevant sectors of the tourism value chain incl. Health, MICE, Luxury Travel etc.

Following the recovery of Russian’s tourism industry and the success of the previous edition, several exhibitors have already opted for larger stands at OTDYKH 2018. For example the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic will increase its stand space from 100 sqm to 150 sqm to include a cultural programme to the show.

The region Kaliningrad has also purchased additional 40 sqm, thus enlarging its booth from 9 sqm to 49 sqm. Kaliningrad is placing particular emphasis on OTDYKH to promote its varied attractions and beautiful nature. Another encouraging sign for the industry is that a booth space sales process has started much earlier this year than in 2017 and some premium locations have been already snapped up by regular exhibitors.

The Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation and the Russian Federal Agency of Tourism, have, once again, extended their support to OTDYKH, noting that the exhibition is well-established and high-demanded platform for open dialogue between business and states authorities. Russian tourism industry is looking forward to a positive year.

Giving the expectation to welcome even more Russians to their countries over the course of winter season 2018/2019, several exhibitors are booking larger stand.

This year, as always, they offer early registration discount.
