Dive and Dine at Four Seasons Resort Nevis is the only program of its kind where guests will join a Four Seasons chef and a Nevisian dive master for a two-tank dive at a secret site to lasso their own lobsters, like the locals. This exhilarating experience doesn’t end under water. Back on shore, the chef will prepare a personalised lunch using locally-sourced ingredients and fresh herbs from the Resort’s garden to season the guests’ catch of the day as they relax in one of the 200 square foot (19 square metre) luxury beach cabanas.
Nevis-born Director of Recreation Mac Kee France offers a personal tour of local bars and hangouts for a truly authentic adventure called Mix-Lyme and Dine. On this experience like no other, guests can sample first-hand the local food scene on Nevis. Guests will taste authentic recipes passed down through generations, such as spicy jerk chicken and goat water and wash it down with the milk of a freshly cut coconut or a spicy nutmeg rum punch. This cultural immersion will ease guests into the island way of life and even help them pick up a few Nevisian slangs for when they visit the island again.
There’s nothing more Caribbean than rum, and at Four Seasons Resort Nevis guests can pull up a chair at the famous 101 Rums Bar, the only bar in the Caribbean dedicated to fine-aged rums. In actuality, 101 Rums Bar has more than 120 varieties of fine-aged rum, including the Appleton Estate 50-Year-Old Jamaican Independence Reserve Rum, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence. 101 Rums Bar provides the perfect vantage point for a breathtaking Caribbean sunset and Nevis’ sister-island St. Kitts. Guests can join Chief Mixologist Kendie Williams for a demonstration of her signature cocktails, made with natural homemade, Nevisian ingredients and smooth liquor blends. One of Kendie’s most popular cocktails is the Spicy Island Turtle. This cocktail combines Caribbean-style jerk spices and Naked Turtle White Rum to create a refreshing and spicy blend. Each cocktail is not only delicious but helps to protect one of Nevis’ most majestic creatures, the sea turtle. Four Seasons Resort Nevis and Naked Turtle Rum joined efforts to create this cocktail and have proceeds donated towards the protection of the sea turtle population on Nevis. Guests can also join in a delicious rum pairing dinner, where each course is carefully selected and paired to maximise the flavour profiles of the rum and its rich heritage.
