Around 60 local speakers and panelists and regional business leaders and specialists, took part in the Makkah Economic Forum to talk about and evaluate successful international experiences and suggest innovative solutions as well.
The forum is all set to lift up the service level offered and create an environment favorable for investments, taking into considerations the work to conquer any obstruction that had a chance to hinder the success of the partnership between the public and private sector.
In this context, a project follow-up office, an all-inclusive service center, along with an initiatives and partnership unit were set up aid the procedures and uncover instant solutions to any obstructions.
In Jeddah city, the second day of the forum aimed on the Hajj, Umrah and tourism sectors. It targeted the way to facilitate and perk up the experiences of pilgrims and tourists.
Huge investment opportunities were emphasized at the sessions. To quote Bassam Ghulman, general supervisor of the transport sector at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, “Transportation is one of the largest windows for investment in the Makkah region,” and there are few sectors of investment where the capital can be restored in couple of years.
As per Ghulman, there are six main fields in terms of investments in the transportation sector at the time of Hajj and Umah seasons: Research and studies, logistic support, Infrastructure, transportation vehicles, technical assistance and programming, operating, and maintenance.
