In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, guests are invited to explore Whistler by taking part in a special Canada 150 scavenger hunt. The free scavenger hunt is available online or in Whistler at the Visitor’s Centre until the end of the calendar year.
Let the special scavenger hunt lead you from delicious Canadian treats to historical spots and iconic landmarks. The hunt acts as a tour guide – it can be done all in one day or throughout the duration of your visit as you make your way around Whistler.
From food to photo opportunities, the Canada 150 scavenger hunt serves up Whistler’s most Canadian offerings. Don’t miss the opportunity to seek out maple taffy at the Farmer’s Market, find a friendly bear hug at Bear Necessities or learn a bit of local Canadian history at the Whistler Museum.
Grab your camera and document the entire journey on social media by tagging @GoWhistler and through the hashtags #OnlyInWhistler and #Canada150.
Once 20 or more items have been marked off the scavenger hunt, take the proof over to the Whistler Visitor Centre for a Canada 150 themed prize. The unique scavenger hunt acts as a new way to engage with local culture as well as being a free guide to celebrating Whistler’s Canadian offerings. Not only will you have the photos and memories, you’ll also have a Canada 150 souvenir.
