The FAA Air Traffic Report provides a reasonable expectation of any daily impacts to normal air traffic operations, i.e. arrival/departure delays, ground stoppages, airport closures. This information is for air traffic operations planning purposes and is reliable as weather forecasts and other factors beyond our ability to control.
The system outlook for today, May 13, 2016:
Clear skies and on-time flights for the major hub airports across most of the Central U.S., from the Rockies (DEN) to Texas (DAL, DFW), the South (ATL) and Great Lakes states (MDW, ORD). Low clouds and rain this morning, turning to thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening, may result in flight delays in New York (EWR, JFK, LGA), Philadelphia (PHL), Washington, D.C. (BWI, DCA, IAD), and Charlotte (CLT). On the West Coast, cloud cover may slow traffic this morning in Los Angeles (LAX), San Diego (SAN) and San Francisco (SFO).
