A bus, carrying 45 travellers in India’s Jammu and Kashmir, rolled inside a deep gorge and killed 35 people around 3 pm local time on Thursday, 20th October. The bus was carrying the travellers from Reasi to Bakal.
Initially the death tolls were estimated to be 12. But the death tolls reached 35 over time. The local authorities sent the injured travellers to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The SSP of Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat informed, “The rescue operation is going on and a police team and the district administration are on the spot.”
The disaster management team was working hard to rescue to trapped tourists from the bus. They were also extricating the bodies from the mangled bus. Rescuers and emergency officials were also trying to bring the bus back on the road.
According to sources, the skid-marks suggested that faulty gear of the bus might have caused the tragic accident near Jyotipuram in India’s Jammu and Kashmir.
