VisitScotland’s Business Events team has teamed up with Fife Council to put on a special workshop and networking lunch at the University of St Andrews this Thursday (28 May).
Those attending the workshop include representatives from The Old Course Hotel, Fairmont St Andrews, the University of St Andrews, Rufflets Country House Hotel and Best Western Keavil House Hotel in Crossford.
Amanda Ferguson, Meeting and Incentives Marketing Manager at VisitScotland, will give a presentation on best practice for sales and marketing activity in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) market.
Sandra Montador-Stewart, Fife Council’s Service Manager (Economy, Tourism and Town Centres), will discuss ways in which businesses in the Kingdom can maximise opportunities and convert enquiries.
Meanwhile, guest speaker Caroline Mackenzie from Zibrant, the award-winning venue-finding and events company, will give businesses the benefit of her 25 years’ experience in the industry.
Amanda Ferguson said: “With a range of superb venues and a huge amount to see and do, Fife has a great deal to offer the meetings and incentives market. This workshop will give businesses terrific advice on converting enquiries as well as the opportunity to share best practice with each other.”
Sandra Montador-Stewart said: “I’m delighted to be taking part in this event with VisitScotland. It offers an excellent opportunity for Fife businesses to learn ways of increasing their conference and corporate business.”
