Fight over the tourism season of Great Skellig

Fight over the tourismVery recently, a boatman in Ireland has filed a court case and taken a High Court action against the minister for transport. He along with others brought huge number of visitors to Skellig Michael which is also known as Great Skellig among travelers. He has move the High Court action over a decision to shorten the season when people can actually come to the UNESCO world heritage site.

Seanie Murphy explains that such a judgment has reduced the peak visitor season by one third of the traditional season span during which he and his fellow boatmen have transported hundreds of passengers to the site. Mr Murphy for quite some time now has brought visitors from the mainland to the monastic settlement site. The site witnessed a surge in visitors as the location was used a location for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the forthcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
