Finland ideal for wildlife travel

According to the latest Global Wildlife Travel Index 2018, Finland is the best destination in the world for wildlife travel. Due to its unique and varied diversity of species, high levels of  environmental sustainability and natural landscape and conservation efforts Finland achieved the top spot.

 

Various factors are taken into concern like conservation efforts, wildlife biodiversity, prevalence of national parks before ranking the country.

 

The factors were expanded this year and included increased focus around environment sustainability which is important for the eco-conscious traveller.

 

 

Over the last year there was  a rapid increase in visitor level and it secured top rankings for having 39 national parks and the forest areas covering more than 73.1 per cent of its land.

 

Various groups of species are exposed across every country. All possible aspects of threats were assessed using the Red List Index and in the overall report Sweden grabbed the second spot and according to a newly-released report other countries that managed to grab a spot in the list for wildlife travel were Brazil, Canada, United States of America, Norway, Spain, Germany, Poland and Slovenia.
