A five-year tourism strategy has been proposed for Prince Edward Island. Vision 2021released by the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI), explores new opportunities, products, enhanced coastal drive offering and aboriginal tourism, further developing the Confederation Trail. The strategy also suggests how to improve the funding and administration of the industry, setting goals for life of the strategy.
Economic Development and Tourism Minister Heath MacDonald said, “Vision 2021 is a very powerful document that we can act on since the industry was so involved in its creation.”In the coming days, the province will meet with operators and organizations to determine how to act on the strategy and marketing and product development.
