Visit Florida has highlighted numerous travel promotions comprising the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and Double Tree Orlando at Sea World.
The travel deals arrive as the number of tourists from Canada that represents the leading international market for Florida has declined in recent years and the latest promotion directly targets concerns from Canadian families, regarding the exchange rate between the U.S. and Canada as per a news release that mentioned it on Wednesday.
Governor Rick Scott mentioned in a particular statement that Canada is quite significant to the tourism industry of Florida and the 1.4 million jobs it supports for families all across the state.
He added that they would continue working daily to draw as many as 120 million visitors this year thereby making Florida the number one global destination.
Meanwhile the city of Winter Park aims to promotes itself on the international scale in an effort to attract more tourists from the United Kingdom. Three officials are travelling to a trade show that would be hosted next week on London. Winter Park is eager to pitch itself as a break from theme parks where tourists can tour museums, shop at a boutique, enjoy a boat tour or indulge in a sumptuous lunch at an outdoor café, as per Betsy Gardner Eckbert who is the president of the Chamber of Commerce of the city. He has been travelling with marketing directors from the chamber and the Alfond Inn.
The $8,000 World Market Travel trip is sponsored by many partners including the city of Winter Park, the Park Avenue Merchants Association and other organizations, as mentioned by Gardner Eckbert.
Since July this chamber has tracked nearly 2,000 international tourists about half from the United Kingdom who had visited the welcome center of the city.
