A 35-year-old female tourist from Florida met with a tragic accident at the famous Grand Canyon National Park in the United States. The hiker stumbled off the edge of a cliff at the Ooh Aah Point during her hike. The doctors announced her dead on Monday, 11th July.
The 400ft plunge instantly took her life. The park rangers found the body of the female hiker, Colleen Burns below the cliff, where she was standing just moments before her death.
She was on a hiking trip with her family, where she was taking multiple pictures and posting them on Instagram. On the time of the accident, she was almost a mile away from the popular South Kaibab Trail.
Moments before her death, the daredevil hiker Colleen posted a picture of her on Instagram, where she was found to be seated cross-legged at the edge of the cliff.
According to Burns’ friend and a witness, the accident occurred as Burns tried to step out of her way to let another man squeeze in but she tripped and fell backwards into the canyon instead.
Only two weeks prior to this fatal accident, another man from California fell to his death at the Grand Canyon National Park.
