Terrifying footage shows the aircraft was caught in strong winds, and its right landing gear collapsed before the dramatic landing at Schipol airport.
The Bombardier Q400 aircraft had originally taken off from Dundee, stopping in Edinburgh, before flying on to Amsterdam. The flight had suffered a delay of 90 minutes to its scheduled take off time due to storm Doris.
The aircraft came to a halt on the side of the runway after the incident and emergency services attended. No one was injured.
The passengers were taken to the terminal by bus, the airport said. The airline said that 46 passengers were on board the stricken plane, with a further 10 crew members.
The plane struggled to land in winds of 31 knots, with gusts blowing as high as 46 knots.
It came just hours after Flybe flight 783 from Glasgow to Birmingham made an emergency landing after the pilot was forced to shut down one of its engines mid-air due to a technical fault.
There have also been delays and disruption to flights at other airports across the UK.
