The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Spain increased 3.8 percent year-on-year to 4.38 million in February this year, following a 2.2 percent gain in the previous month. Visitors to Spain came mostly from the UK (up 2.3 percent year-on-year to 884 thousand), France (up 3.1 percent to 562 thousand), Germany (up 2.4 percent to 549 thousand), Italy (up 12.6 percent to 262 thousand), and the US (21.5 percent to 207 thousand).
Canarias was the top destination followed by Cataluña and Andalucía. Tourist Arrivals in Spain averaged 4623.07 thousand from 1995 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 10493.44 thousand in July 2017 and a record low of 1397.41 thousand in January 1995.
