The country is likely to receive nearly 1.639 million person-times of foreign visitors during the two-month period, the administration said on its website.
Markets with high growth of foreign visitors to Vietnam included China’s Hong Kong (up 169.9 percent), Chinese mainland (up 48.8 percent), South Korea (up 31 percent), and Italy (up 25.6 percent), among others.
The contribution of domestic tourism to the scenario is some 14.2 million holiday-makers during the period.
Tourism revenue is expected to reach some 80 million Vietnamese dong (around 3.6 billion U.S. dollars) during the two-month period, an increase of 19 percent year-on-year, said the administration.
