Life always seems a little bit sweeter with ice cream. Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Pastry Chef Stephane Calvet is a firm believer in the power of ice cream, and is bringing back some of his favourite creations this year to make the summer in Bangkok a little bit cooler, as well as a little bit sweeter.
Guests can sample tropical Thai flavours such as the MTC, made with fresh mango, coconut sorbet, Thai tea ice cream, sticky rice and passion fruit coulis. Or for the more adventurous, the Durian Sundae, featuring durian ice cream, sweet brown sticky rice, rice crispies, coconut sauce and crushed peanuts.
Fans of more traditional French favourites may opt for the Pear Caramel, including vanilla and rum & raisin ice cream, william pear sherbet, butterscotch sauce and chocolate pearls; or the Peach Melba, with wine-poached peaches and apricots, vanilla ice cream, white peach sherbet and raspberry coulis.
And who could resist a good old Banana Split, with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream, fresh strawberries and banana, topped with chantilly cream, raspberry and chocolate sauces, and sliced almonds?
The Summer Ice Cream Menu will be available in the Lobby Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok from March 1, 2013.
