STRADA Restaurant is the latest addition to the family at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence and the urban Italian restaurant scene in Giza. This informal yet cozy Italian restaurant tucked away on the Hotel’s 3rd floor boasts an extensive list of the best Italian comfort foods, featuring a vast array of dishes from all regions of Italy guaranteed to tickle the taste buds and tantalize the appetite for a hearty Italian indulgence to come.
Grand scale bowls of risotto and pasta or sharing size options of starters range from beetroot carpaccio and octopus salad to creamy oven baked eggplant with parmesan. The mouth-watering thin crust pizza from the wood brick oven is a specialty in the house of Chef Riccardo Parisse, a definite must-try as a starter to share or a main course to devour all to oneself. STRADA focuses on guests’ appetite needs, with an extensive list of favourite homemade Italian classics.
“My grandmother’s traditional cooking inspired me to become a chef,” says Chef Riccardo of growing up in Italy. Chef Riccardo watched his grandmother’s cooking, and implemented his own fresh versions of his family’s traditional recipes when moving to Cairo. He has placed emphasis on seasonal and healthy ingredients to recreate a genuine Italian home-cooked style cuisine in a rustic and relaxed ambiance.
“My favourite dish on the menu has to be the crispy gnocchi on parmesan fondue with porcini mushrooms and truffles, a must-try,” adds Chef Riccardo.STRADA’s urban Tuscan style interior of bright yellows, cool blues and a magnificent murano glass chandelier from Venice accentuate the backdrop of the Nile River, truly providing guests with an atmospheric calmness for a night out to lounge with friends or family for a few bites from an extensive STRADA menu accompanied by a list of varied imported Italian wines. STRADA boasts a daily breakfast buffet from 6:00 am and opens for early dinners at 6:00 pm until 12:00 am daily.
