Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Guest Chef Series Kicks Off with James Beard Foundation

cq5dam.web.press.400.keepaspectratio (3)It is an honour for any chef to be associated with the highly-regarded James Beard Foundation, and on March 10, 2017, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Executive Chef Sean Murray will welcome culinary colleagues to Allium for James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour event.

 

He will share his workspace with six famed local and national chefs, including Kristen Kish, Winner of Top Chef Season 10; James Beard Award winning Chef/Restaurateur Michael Mina; James Beard-nominated Hugo Ortega; 2016 Jean Banchet Chef of The Year Chris Pandel; Michelin-starred Boka Restaurant Chef/Partner Lee Wolen; and Genie Kwon, Pastry Chef/Partner of two Michelin-starred Oriole.

 

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a multi-course dining experience with beverage pairings from Certified Specialist of Spirits, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Assistant Director of Food & Beverage Cory Cuff. Each chef will create a course, representative of their individual cooking style, introducing guests to a wide range of flavours and cuisines. At the conclusion of the dinner, chefs will gather in the dining room to celebrate this momentous occasion.

 

“I look forward to working side-by-side with a group of chefs for whom I have the utmost respect,” remarks Chef Murray. “Our varying cooking styles will create an innovative and exciting menu.”

 

Allium Guest Chef Series

To keep the momentum alive, following the March 10 James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour event, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago will introduce the first-ever Allium Guest Chef Series. Once a month, beginning on April 13, 2017 with Chef Lou Rook III of Annie Gunn’s and the Smokehouse Market in Chesterfield, Missouri, a prominent chef will work alongside Chef Murray to produce a special dinner, paying homage to the visiting chef’s cuisine.

 

“With our city at the forefront of the country’s dining scene, there’s no better time than the present to introduce the Allium Chef Series,” comments Cuff. “Each dinner will tell a unique story, which we are very excited to share with Chicago.”

 

Tickets to the James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner on March 10 can be purchased online. Allium Guest Chef Series dates, visiting chefs and prices, will be announced shortly.
