Franco Pepe promises an exciting evening at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze

cq5dam.web.press.400.keepaspectratioIt promises to be an evening out of the ordinary, the one planned for June 15, 2015 at the Trattoria and Pizzeria Al Fresco at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, which since last summer has ranked among Florence’s best and trendiest restaurants, for both its traditional Tuscan dishes and top-quality wines. The different menus for lunch and dinner offer a tantalising and flavoursome dining experience, meant for those who are in the mood for a delicious meal in a more casual atmosphere and setting.

 

 

On June 15, the menu will still be traditional Italian, but Campania-style instead of Tuscan. The special guest is the well-known pizza maker from Campania Franco Pepe. He owns a restaurant in his hometown Caiazzo, where he prepares and serves dishes typical of the northern-Caserta area, which boasts centuries-old culinary traditions. Pepe works to revive traditional pizza-making methods while adding a modern and creative twist to the symbol of Italian cuisine throughout the world.

 

 

Pepe in Grani (peppercorns) is the name of the culinary event that for one night only will be held in a location as special as the Trattoria Al Fresco, nestled in the Hotel’s beautiful garden, just steps away from the pool, where guests will be treated to the aromas and flavours of the Campania region and to the best pizza of their life.

 

 

With the help of Michelin-starred Chef Vito Mollica and his brilliant staff, Franco Pepe will prepare a large buffet of mouth-watering appetisers, followed by his legendary pizzas made with the best and freshest ingredients available and with several flours that Pepe believes are more suitable for Florence’s climate and water, so different from those of Campania. This quite unconventional dinner – which is meant to be a special and unique tasting event, but also a family-style meal – will be accompanied by The Borgo beer (draft and bottled) and Ferrari sparkling wine. And to top off the meal, the extraordinary desserts and pastries by Domenico Di Clemente, the Hotel’s master chocolatier and pastry maker, will be presented.
