Four Seasons Hotel Macao Hosts an Evening of French Refinement

cq5dam.web.press.400.keepaspectratioFour Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip announces the launch of a new floral design workshop in June, following the tremendous success of the first such workshop. Held this past April, the event was followed by high tea and champagne, catering to guests’ increasing appreciation for a refined lifestyle.

 

“We are pleased to be launching a second floral design workshop, which perfectly aligns with the elegant offerings of Four Seasons Hotel Macao, as well as addresses the needs of our guests who embrace such artistry,” says Goncalo Monteiro, Hotel Manager.

 

Carole Delavelle, who studied at floral design school in Paris, France, will again conduct the workshop. Originally from Versailles, Carole obtained the necessary diplomas to become an independent floral designer. Always driven by a desire to learn, she subsequently honed her craft with renowned experts, becoming an accomplished floral sculptor. Before relocating to Macau, Carole served as the director of floral design at a prestigious event company in France, which allowed her to work with the Cannes Movie Festival organisers, as well as for Louis Vuitton, Dior and many others.

 

Bringing her natural gift for colours and textures, as well as an eye for detail, Carole will introduce spectacular original concepts in the new workshop. Drawing inspiration from nature, architecture, and classical and contemporary art, Carole will teach students how to prepare an exquisite French-style centrepiece for their dining table decoration at home.

 

Once completed, each student’s masterpiece will be displayed in a long table at Windows Restaurant in the Hotel, while students enjoy a special three-course set dinner. Featuring French ingredients and flavours, the dishes including pan-seared foie gras with crispy fig, spring leaves and apple balsamic essence; and Windows tuna Nicoise shaved fennel and quinoa with soft egg and lemon garlic aioli, repared by the talented culinary team of Executive Chef Klaus Kallweit. Carole will also join the dinner to share more tips on floral design.

 

The new floral workshop will take place on June 2 and 3, 2016, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, at Four Seasons Hotel Macao. The cost is MOP 998 plus a 10 percent service charge per person; this includes the workshop, a floral centrepiece to take home, and a three-course set dinner with one glass of red or white wine.
