For two weeks at a time, Moskovksy Bar, one of the trendiest bars in the Russian capital, will be turned into a contemporary art space. The first three exhibitions will be curated in collaboration with MSK Eastside Gallery.
From February 18 until March 3, 2016 the exquisite interiors of Moskovsky Bar will be hosting a photo exhibition of Slava Filippov, well-known by his works in Russian and international magazines such as Vogue, Tatler, GQ, Elle, Numero and many others. His portfolio includes portraits of Robert De Niro, Richard Branson, Renata Litvinova and Mikhail Prokhorov. Slava is also known for his project the Butterfly Effect presented in 2013. These works were included in the hardcover book Filippov Slava Book. Slavas’s works demonstrate unique vision and unusual concepts, where unexpected objects become inspiration. The style of work is very diverse, careful and thoughtful.
The curator of the exhibition, MSK Eastside gallery, discovers talented artists and photographers with extraordinary vision who work in various genres from painting to graffiti. Popular DJ Eva Vostroknutova will be performing at the opening of the exhibition at Moskovsky Bar.
This series of pop-up exhibitions will take place every month in a Supperclub format, combining both cultural and gastronomic components. During the first exhibition a famous Colombian bartender Juan Valderrama C., deemed the Best Bartender by the Diageo Colombia, will be working along with the team of Moskovsky Bar.
By cooperating with arts professionals, Four Seasons Hotel Moscow aims to promote contemporary artists, with emphasis on local talents. New exhibitions will be organised in the upcoming months including a pop-up exhibition of Alex Kuznetsov.
