Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver now offers Choose Your Own Epicurean Adventure as part the new Four Seasons Taste of Place global initiative through October 2017.Guests can join the food and beverage team at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver to enjoy a taste of what they do best: Fish. Shake. Bake.
Taste of Place guests are invited to hone in on their favourite culinary disciplines by choosing a customized experience – each featuring a hyper-local tour and master class in either cocktails, desserts or sustainable seafood. Each tour features a two-hour specialised interactive market outing followed by a 90-minute, hands on how-to with Executive Chef Weimar Gomez, Master Mixologist Lauren Mote or Executive Pastry Chef Mark Burton.
Fish – Join Executive Chef Weimar Gomez on the market trail at Granville Island Public Market while he shares tips on selecting the best in local fish for sustainably-minded YEW seafood + bar. Guests will be invited to gather their goodies and step into the gleaming chef’s kitchen for a 90 minute hands-on cooking class. Here, guests will learn how to prepare Chef Gomez’ signature dish. Following the class, the dish will be paired with a signature Lauren Mote cocktail and finish with a sweet treat from Executive Pastry Chef Mark Burton for participants to enjoy.
Shake – Guests are invited to join award-winning global cocktail ambassador and bartender Lauren Mote on a behind-the-scenes experience to local distilleries and Chinatown’s markets to channel their inner mixologist and learn to serve up a well-crafted cocktail. Tour purchases will be rounded up and guests gather at YEW bar for a hands-on experience in shaking up one of Lauren’s most popular cocktails. Guests’ cocktail creations will be enjoyed with a fresh seafood bite from Executive Chef Weimar Gomez and a sweet treat from Executive Pastry Chef Mark Burton.
Bake – Sweet-toothed guests are invited to join extraordinary Executive Pastry Chef Mark Burton to find out the secrets of sourcing and selecting premium local ingredients for decadent desserts. Participants will fire up the ovens and regroup in the Hotel’s dedicated Bake Shop for an interactive baking class where Chef Burton will reveal his signature dessert techniques. Everyone will enjoy an amuse bouche from Executive Chef Weimar Gomez paired with a specialty YEW cocktail before diving into dessert.
Curated itineraries are available now through October 2017. The price for each package is CAD 2,000 per couple or CAD 1,400 for individuals. Seven days notice is required to book packages and they are subject to availability of guide.
