Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, named the #1 resort in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific in Travel + Leisure’s 2015 World’s Best Awards readers’ poll, has just introduced a comprehensive on-property tennis program in partnership with Peter Burwash International.
In an ongoing effort to enhance guests’ experiences, this represents the first time the Resort will offer a full-service tennis program. PBI is also directing award-winning tennis programs at eleven other Four Seasons resorts around the globe.
Tennis playing guests will enjoy magnificent views of mystical Mount Otemanu and lush tropical beauty surrounding the Resort’s two artificial grass courts. Weekly clinics include: Intro to Tennis, Cardio Tennis, Doubles Strategy, Groundstrokes, Advanced Drills and Tennis Drop-In. The Resort provides complimentary use of tennis racquets and balls.
PBI has appointed Aline Opala to lead the tennis program at the Resort. A native of Chatuzange Le Goubet, France, Opala is a former nationally-ranked junior player and collegiate Division 1 player for New Mexico State University. She later earned a law degree and was the assistant women’s coach at Southern Illinois University prior to joining PBI.
“When we considered how to revitalise our tennis program, we instinctively turned to PBI based on their success at many of our other properties,” says Michel Volk, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. “PBI is well known to Four Seasons guests for their top instruction and customer service. We’re excited to offer this new activity to our guests.”
