To celebrate Global Wellness Day on June 8, 2019, the Resort’s wellbeing experts have designed a series of complimentary activities, available over June 7-9. Led by Four Seasons specialists, these experiences reveal the richness of Langkawi, as well as opening a window into timeless Asian wellness traditions.

 

Island immersion

Explore a side of the island that remains hidden from most visitors, with a cycling tour to a nearby kampung (traditional Malay village). The breezy bike ride takes you through lush rice fields/rainforests and winding back lanes, with the friendly smiles of farmers and villagers to brighten your morning.

 

Journey deeper into nature with a sensory exploration of the sprawling Four Seasons grounds, where Senior Naturalist Aidi Abdullah introduces you to the Resort’s other residents: flamboyant flame trees, fragrant frangipanis, shy dusky leaf monkeys and iconic hornbills.

 

Time-honoured rituals

Amateur as well as experienced yogis are invited to deepen their personal practice with Dr. Kannan. Align your chakras through breathwork and chanting at the Sacred Evening Meditation, hosted at the revitalised Teratai Pavilion, a light-filled space that evokes a sense of blissful calm. The practice of pranayama brings you closer to a profound sense of inner peace.

 

Early risers can kickstart their morning with a flowing session of Hatha Yoga to strengthen body and spirit. Spine-focused postures increase flexibility and strength, while relaxing exercises ease stress and improve your breathing.

 

Practical wisdom

Each of us has a unique elemental constitution – an alchemy of air, fire, earth, water and space. Dr. Kannan shares his knowledge to help you tailor your lifestyle to your constitution, unlocking fresh reserves of health and energy.

 

Join our Bar Team to create vibrant, nourishing juices using locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs. Later, put on your chef’s hat to whip up a healthful feast, including steamed snapper with lemongrass and a delectable coconut pudding.
