Group travel organisers were treated to a ‘Welcome Drinks’ reception, a guided tour of the ship and a fantastic lunch before 929-guest ship Braemar headed off on her ten-night ‘Tall Ships & Cultural Trips’ Baltic exploration the same day.
After enjoying a presentation on the destinations and itineraries that groups could experience on a Fred. Olsen fly-cruise, the group travel organisers were each given a cuddly toy lemur to take home.
Sylvia Saxon, from Saxon Group Travel, who is also Chair of the New Meridian Association, said: “The ship visit was so interesting. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and from what I was hearing, a few will be seriously considering a cruise with Fred. Olsen, with their groups, in the future.”
Sylvia is currently promoting a 14-night ‘Cruising to the Heart of the Baltic’ group sailing on board Braemar, on behalf of Saxon Group Travel. The cruise departs from Southampton in September 2018.
Graham Jenkins, of the Door-to-Door Theatre Club, who also attended the event, said: “Having a guided tour of Braemar was a great experience.
“This marvellous ship is an enormous credit to the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ fleet, with its sumptuous public areas, well-appointed spacious cabins, first rate dining and a helpful, friendly crew.
“Above all, the ambience and relaxed atmosphere on board is all you could wish for. I can’t wait to try one of Braemar’s forthcoming cruises with my club members.”
Ellie Fulcher, Sales Manager Groups for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “The Group Travel Organisers had a fantastic time and they thought that the toy lemur giveaways were an excellent touch.
“In fact, groups can see lemurs in real life – on Boudicca’s magnificent and colourful 14-day ‘Indian Ocean Islands’ fly-cruise, sailing from Port Louis, Mauritius, on a selection of dates in November 2017 and 2018.
“Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines offers an extensive range of cruise holidays for groups, from European short breaks to our new exotic fly-cruises.”
Fred. Olsen has a range of fly-cruises suitable for groups in 2017, 2018 and 2019, which include cruises to destinations such as South Africa, Spain & Portugal, Arabia, India, and the Caribbean.
