Frederic Angevin has been named Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.Angevin, a 25-year industry veteran, has worked in hotels and restaurants around the world, and makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, where he most recently served as Executive Sous Chef.
Prior to that, he served as executive chef and consultant of Legends Soccer Bar & Grill in Frisco, Texas; executive sous chef of Hilton Doubletree at Lincoln Center in Dallas; executive chef and owner of Escargot Restaurant in Fort Worth and as executive chef of Le Chardonnay in Dallas. His early years were spent as executive chef of Moulin d’Hauterive Hotel in Beaune, France and as chef de cuisine of Le Tipi and Le Champs-Elyses Hotel in Macon, France.
“We’re pleased to welcome Chef Angevin to our family here in Bora Bora,” says Michel Volk, general manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. “His experience around the world and great knowledge of food and wine will certainly help us in further creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.”Chef Angevin began his classical training through a two-year apprenticeship in Burgundy, and earned his culinary degree from CIFA Jean Lemeloise in Beaune, France.
A native of Macon, France, he speaks English, French and Spanish, and now resides on Bora Bora. In his spare time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, playing tennis and soccer and enjoying great food and wine with friends and family.The Resort’s accommodations include 100 overwater bungalows and seven beachfront villas, all designed with traditional thatched roofs and decorated with indigenous artwork. Dining options at the Resort offer a vast selection of creative culinary experiences, from Polynesian to French to South Pacific fusion.
