The site in Torndirrup National Park now has two accessible lookouts and new paths, picnic areas, signage and car parking.
Funded by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program and the Department of Parks and Wildlife, the project aims to improve visitors’ experiences and safety at the iconic Southern Ocean lookout.
The grated see-through platform rises almost 40m above the ocean and extends 10m from the cliff face, including 4m directly above the ocean.
The Gap and Natural Bridge, which receive more than 210,000 visits a year, are among many eco-tourism experiences in the Great Southern including the Granite Skywalk in Porongurup National Park, the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk in Walpole-Nornalup National Park and the Wilderness View Lookout in Mount Frankland National Park.
