The airlines company is a Denver-based one.
This week, the airline has expressed an apology for causing inconvenience to its travellers in Denver over the weekend. It had cancelled as many as three flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Tuesday. Two of the flights were cancelled at the very last minute after the travellers were already present at their gates in Terminal 3.
Frontier is a budget airlines company.
It charges passengers for additional carry-on bags, seat assignments and other items that are standard on most of the air carriers, is known to have cancelled flights to Iowa, Des Moines, Cincinnati and Cleveland. Just this month, the service for Des Moine has been launched.
These cancellations have caused snaking queues in the ticketing area and baggage claim department of the Terminal 3 that has been renovated of late while travellers made attempts to collect their bags.
Jim Faulkner who is the spokesperson of Frontier Airlines apologized for these cancellations.
He said that the airline is trying to recover from the snowstorm in Denver, the area of its largest operation. Several passengers as well as flight crews were all stranded here.
Travellers who are planning to fly Frontier this week should check the status of their flight prior to heading towards the airport.
