Seoul is on its way to train as many as 580 young residents who have been interested in developing brand new careers in the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) industry this year, as declared by the city government.
The city government has also started pushing to nourish the industry as an important source of jobs here and also as a critical tool to promote the city overseas.
The training imparted in the city of Seoul would comprise three different sections.
The supporters of the MICE program has said that the program aims to seek a certain amount of practical experience. Following the training, the supporters would be stationed at the various MICE events that have been carrying out protocol duties, event organization, interpretation and also registration.
Currently, therefore, the city is on the lookout for 500 trainees.
The young MICE promoting team would be focusing on spreading awareness about MICE and the relevant activities from around the city. Thirty members would be imparted extensive training in writing and the various social networking techniques.
Also, the MICE human resources bank program would offer job-finding services for 50 people.
