Gamuda Land Clubs recently brought festive cheer to the residents from the Rumah Amal Murni in Kajang. The annual Charity event organized by Gamuda Land Clubs is part of the Clubs Corporate Social Responsibility which is also aimed to spread the joy of giving and sharing.
The Management and staffs from Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, Botanic Resort Club and Jade Hills Resort Club tossed yee sang to usher in the Chinese New Year with abundance of prosperity and good fortune. Kota Permai committee members also joined hands in the charity visit. The Management brought groceries and electrical items such as Washing machine based on the Home’s Wishlist and residents were also treated to lunch brought by the Club’s Management. The Management handed out “angpaus” and goodie bags to the residents while the “God of Prosperity” handed out sweets and oranges.
Gamuda Land Clubs believes in giving back to the community through its various community programmes in an endeavor to bring cheers to the less fortunate during major festive seasons. Such charity drives have become a hallmark of the Club as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) since 2008. The annual charity visits to the various Charity centres also aims to foster closer ties between Gamuda Land Clubs and the community.
Rumah Amal Murni Kajang was established in April 2005 and has 30 residents who are mentally and physically challenged, homeless and senior citizens. Most of them have been abandoned in hospitals neglected by their family and are homeless. The Home also provides treatment for the physically and mentally disordered patients. The monthly expenses amount up to RM10, 000 which includes rental, electricity, water, transport and daily maintenance.
