Holidaymakers and business travellers can have a seamless experience as Gatwick has launched a new app that provides passengers with personalized services.
There will be flight alerts, real-time queue updates for check-in and security, intuitive navigation using beacon technology, and shopping, restaurant, and airport offers all from the mobile.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Gatiwick will see other digital transformation programme that will be inclusive of advanced chat bots, augmented reality way finding and the airport-wide use of the internet of things.
Guy Stephenson, chief commercial officer, Gatwick Airport said that new app is designed to help the passengers to make the most of their time at the airport.
People will be able to navigate seamless through the airport and is one of the best airport apps in the market.
The personalized information will be sent to the phone and will tell about the boarding status and gate access providing sufficient time for the passengers to get the information.
Cathal Corcoran, chief information officer, Gatwick Airport, said that new app is just one of many exciting digital initiatives that their award-winning digital team was developing. The passengers can now be easily connected to intelligent chat bots through different apps.
