As per a recent report published before the occurrence of Arabian Travel Market Dubai World Trade Centre, Oman Saudi Arabia and will guide the GCC’s multi-billion dollar investments in terms of cultural tourism. It will have a series of projects to build up eye-catching world-class cultural attractions. Arabian Travel Market will take place from 24th till 27th April 2017.
Saudi Arabia is currently in a position to invest up to US$2bn, one of the highest commitments made by any government to develop cultural tourism in the region, according to the research and statistics made by Colliers International. Also, the Saudi Arabia has the highest number of projects and targets set out under Saudi Vision 2030.
It is being presumed that by the year 2030, Saudi Arabia will double its number of public and private museums from 155 to 241. It will also increase the number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites from four to 10, and add to the number of archaeological sites from 75 to 155 in the coming days. Also, Saudi Arabia will increase its number of archaeological heritage sites from 10 to 28. The kingdom will also amplify the number of activities and cultural events from 190 to 400 yearly.
