Genting Hong Kong takes iconic edm festival zoukout to exciting new locales

download (3)Genting Hong Kong, a leading global leisure, entertainment and hospitality corporation, is extending the reach and appeal of internationally renowned nightlife brand, Zouk. With fifteen years of experience and expertise, Genting Hong Kong is expanding Zouk’s well-established ZoukOut beyond the sandy shores of Siloso Beach in Singapore and bringing the iconic festival to other countries in the region. This year will see the festival travel to three other cities in Asia, with ZoukOut Prelude Edition, the first ZoukOut of the year, to be held in Boracay in the Philippines on 30 April-1 May at Epic and Uptown Beachfront .

“With ZoukOut Boracay, we are repositioning ourselves regionally with a strong focus on Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines,” said Andrew Li, Vice President, Lifestyle and F&B Concepts, Genting Hong Kong and Executive Chairman, Zouk. “This in turn will create stronger brand awareness of ZoukOut Singapore, which we also plan to innovate and revitalize later this year in December.”

Internationally acclaimed DJ and record producer, Kaskade, headlines a total of 11 acts, both global and local, that will feature prominently during the first overseas edition of ZoukOut. New additions to the ZoukOut roster include DJ Royale & Junior, DJ Vice, Dubvision, DVBBS and MMXJ.

For an expected crowd of 5,000, ZoukOut promises to be a unique entertainment wonderland featuring an array of visual and interactive activities that will arouse the senses and complement the epic musical journey. Top-notch performers and costumed buskers, along with interactive visual art installations and food stalls all work in harmony to complete the festival feel. ZoukOut continues to be an event that breaks down cultural barriers, connecting individuals from all across Asia and world, and truly embodies Zouk’s spirit of “One World, One Music, One Tribe, One Dance.”

“ZoukOut Boracay is the first step in our overall strategy in growing the brand regionally and globally. We are intending to penetrate other exciting and dynamic locations such as Hong Kong and Japan – which we will announce in due time,” added Li.
