At the 37th WTM in London from 7-9 November, the Gibraltar Tourist Board exhibited its tourism potential. WTM provides a great opportunity for travel and tourism professionals and trade representatives around the world for meeting, networking, negotiating and conducting business.
The Gibraltar delegation along with five local companies was led by the GTB CEO Nicky Guerrero at this event. Other dignitaries from Gibraltar were Tracey Poggio and Ian Leyde from Gibraltar House in London and Gillian Casciaro of the Ministry of Tourism, Employment, Commercial Aviation and the Port.
WTM attracts over 180 countries and regions. This year, more than 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers, officials, tourist experts and international press took part in the event at London’s Excel Exhibition and Conventions Centre for networking, negotiating and discovering the latest trends in tourism.
WTM was also a great scope for important industry executives for addressing a wide range of relevant issues concerning the global travel industry, discussing latest insight and research and studying new challenges. To quote Gibraltar Minister for Tourism Gilbert Licudi, “Our participation at the World Travel Market, once again highlights the importance of tourism in Gibraltar which has been given renewed impetus by the current administration in terms of unprecedented public investment in the product, and targeted international marketing and promotional activities.”
