GigNet Mobile App is South Africa’s first and only fully integrated entertainment networking platform. The app is about to change the way mobile users in the country get their entertainment fix.
The app has been in the trial phase for the last nine months and the response has been overwhelming.
Nosipho Gamede is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GigNet Mobile App Nosipho.
“We found a gap in the market. Why not have something that wherever you go, be it in Johannesburg or in Pretoria, you as the consumer will have a profile. It (the app) will filter according to your specific needs and provide you with a space to follow local entertainers, be it comedians, actors, singers or even radio DJ’s,” he said Wednesday.
Gamede said their target market is very unique.
“Our user-groups are young people who are mobile. However, we are also reaching out to the fans, promoters, venue owners, entertainers and the media. The media might have venues of interest. The media might have artists of interest; they might even have promoters of interest.”
From a consumer point of view, once a person has the app on their mobile phones they can form user-groups and be in contact with one another, he added.
GigNet Mobile App is launching its first initial release on the App Store.
The app should go live on the iStore and Google Play at the beginning of June.
