Many of us know that Glasgow is indeed a ‘friendly’ city. It needs to be opened for tourists and workers, since it is one of the top 10 cities globally to visit this year, and it is a great accolade during the Scottish tourism month.
As per recent statistics, record numbers of visitors are visiting the historic sites of Scotland. There has also been a rise in visitors from Europe.
It’s a known fact that Scotland’s landscapes and rich history is a big draw for international tourists, and the Scottish tourism industry is also diversifying its tourism offers for future growth and success.
Glasgow has secured its reputation as one of the world cities for hosting major events; for example, after hosting 2014 Commonwealth Games, it held the first ever European Championships. There are plentiful scopes for expanding tourism in Glasgow and across Scotland; however, the industry does face a number of challenges, many of them resulting from Brexit. Tourism remains one of the key growth sectors of Scotland, employing more than 200000 people.
